Who We Are

The Nemmank Foundation is a  charitable organization dedicated to transforming lives and uplifting communities across Africa, with our roots and primary focus firmly planted in Abiriba, Abia State.

We work to advance equity, resilience, and empowerment through sustainable initiatives in education, healthcare, and grassroots development.
While our vision encompasses broad continental impact, Abiriba remains our main community and the proving ground for our initiatives. We do not believe in temporary relief. Instead, we design scalable, data-driven solutions that tackle the root causes of poverty, breaking systemic barriers and equipping the people of Abiriba and surrounding regions to become entirely self-reliant.

Our Vision

To build a more equitable future where every individual, starting from our home base in Abiriba to communities across Africa, has access to quality education, healthcare, and the opportunities needed to thrive.

Our Core Pillars

  • Sustainable Development: We build structural foundations that foster community resilience and long-term economic growth.
  • Education Initiatives: Our programs create accessible pathways for learning and skill development to empower future generations.
  • Healthcare Initiatives: We implement vital health resources to improve well-being and life outcomes in underserved regions.

Our Current Focus in Abiriba

We believe that sustainable change starts with addressing immediate structural deficits. Currently, the Nemmank Foundation is actively deploying resources to tackle three critical challenges within the Abiriba community:

  • Rebuilding Collapsed Education Infrastructure: We are restoring and modernizing dilapidated school buildings to create safe, inspiring, and functional learning environments for our children.
  • Funding Education Costs: We provide targeted academic sponsorships and financial aid to select, high-potential students in the community who are hindered by financial hardship.
  • Building Modern Sanitary Systems: We are engineering and constructing clean, sustainable public sanitation facilities to improve community hygiene, combat preventable diseases, and safeguard public health.

Engr. Nwoke Kalu Igiri is the driving force behind the Nemmank Foundation. Combining a profound commitment to social impact with a distinguished background in engineering, Engr. Kalu brings unique strategic insight, compassionate leadership, and a rigorous problem-solving mindset to the foundation’s mission.

Driven by Story, Guided by Innovation

Engr. Kalu’s journey began with a personal mission deeply tied to his upbringing. Growing up in a community with limited access to essential resources, he witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of educational and healthcare inequalities. These early experiences in his home community instilled a deep sense of empathy and a lifelong urge to spark meaningful societal change, beginning directly with the transformation of Abiriba.
As a professional Architect in the area of Enterprise Network Security & Collaboration, Engr. Kalu views community development through a structural lens. He applies engineering principles to philanthropy, focusing on creating scalable, innovative frameworks rather than quick fixes. Under his guidance, the Nemmank Foundation acts as a powerful catalyst for growth, inspiring global partners and local beneficiaries alike to build a resilient, self-determined future.

Engr. Nwoke Kalu Igiri brings a robust academic foundation to the Nemmank Foundation, combining core engineering principles with advanced technical expertise. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria, where he developed a deep understanding of systems design, analytical problem-solving, and structural mechanics.

Driven by the evolving demands of the global digital landscape, Engr. Kalu later expanded his expertise internationally. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from De Montfort University in Leicester, England. This advanced qualification bridged the gap between traditional engineering and modern computing, equipping him with specialized skills in systems integration, data management, and technological innovation. This diverse educational background empowers him to lead and support the foundation’s initiatives with a unique, multidisciplinary perspective.
